Concerning :
* http://authkit.org/trac/ticket/67

Note that the patch can be more easily accessed from :
* http://bitbucket.org/kumar303/authkit/overview/

It would be really great if this python 2.4 compatibility fix could
be
incorporated into
* https://hg.3aims.com/public/AuthKit/

Note that this authkit google group is so spammed that I think that no
one will want
to use it. It is a lot better adding tickets to Trac than wading thru
spam.

I've applied the patch and made a 0.4.5 release. I've also turned on
moderation for new people posting so there will be no more spam, but
there might be a bit of a delay before posts appear.

Cheers,

James

Hi

I am using 2.4 along with AuthKit release 0.4.5 but I am getting

TypeError: exceptions must be classes, instances, or strings
(deprecated), not NotAuthenticatedError

when using @authorize(ValidAuthKitUser()).

Should this have been fixed as part of the above patch?

Regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Yes it should. Can you send me a full traceback, or better still a test
that triggers it and a patch and I'll make the change.

To be honest I don't use Python 2.4 anymore so Python 2.4 won't be as
well supported as Python 2.5.

Cheers,

James
