CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ABSTRACT DEADLINE: 18 June 2010

Dear Colleague

As previously announced, the 10th International Conference on Cancer-Induced Bone Disease, will take place on 22-25 September 2010, in Sheffield, UK.

We are writing with further details of the programme, which is in the final stages of completion. In addition to the sessions listed below, in the light of the sad news about Greg Mundy the meeting will begin with a tribute to him and his outstanding contribution to the field over many years, and in two main areas, myeloma and breast cancer. This special session will be co-ordinated and chaired by Jack Martin and will include personal reflections from former colleagues.

• Stem cell niches
• Technology platforms
• Tumor stem cells
• Controversies in the use of bone targeted agents
• Tumor cell homing to bone/endothelial interactions
• Tumor associated macrophages/MISCs
• Osteoblasts and bone metastasis
• New therapies for cancer-induced bone disease
• New concepts in bone metastasis
• Clinical application
• Debate: This house believes that bisphosphonates are no longer the agents of choice in the treatment of cancer associated bone diseases
