ACMA: The Australian Communications and Media Authority is proposing
to make a new community radio service available for the Maryborough
area of Victoria and to extend the licence area of 3CH Kyneton. Since
January 2007, Strengthening Goldfields Community Radio (SGCR) has been
operating on a temporary community broadcasting licence, using the
frequency 99.1 FM. SGCR has expressed interest in obtaining a
permanent community radio licence to serve the town of Maryborough.
