Join Alternative Breaks, Sociology, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies October 12 from 7-9 PM in Ward 2 for a celebration of South African culture, female empowerment, and international service.

-Seni Seneviratne is a psychotherapist and poet living and working in South Africa. Ms. Seneviratne's research focuses on the relationship between poetry and trauma, and her creative work combines narratives with poetry and song - a "fusion" of entertainment!

-"Strangers in Paradise" is a documentary, produced by Old Dominion University graduate Rachel Hunter about her experiences living and volunteering in South Africa last summer alongside 11 other inspired women.

Refreshments will be provided.

$5-$10 donation requested to benefit Alternative Breaks, a program through which 11 AU students will journey to South Africa this winter to study the rights of the HIV+ population.

Hope to see you there!
