Hi brains trust,
  Here's one for a Friday afternoon to ponder. I have a QGIS map of bands and how loud they play as nodes out of a maximum of ten e.g.

Carpenters from  Downey CA, Scored 2
Whispering John Farnham, Melbourne, 3
Psychotic Turnbuckles, Sydney, 9
Cold Chisel, Adelaide, 10
Spinal Tap, NY, 11

What's the best way to make the map "sing" rather than colour, size of the nodes please?, Is it to have a small SVG overlay or similar to represent the level and perhaps a small bio?

The issue with some OOTB solutions is Spinal Tap's 11 as I need to show that this is at 110% of the maximum sound (rather than setting 110% as the maximum) however I am keen to here about any simple options out there

Warm Regards

Ewen,
I relish the Australian content of your enquiry, esp the dulcet tones of Jesse the Intruder, but will have to refer you to;

Yeah Hup Bill!
   Thank you so much for focusing my mind after it descended into the Maelstrom and I think I am sorted using a combination of methods.

Pleased to see another fan in this group.

Ewen
