Hi all. I have a little time-series map of the catastrophic flood in
Lismore 28/2/22, with the time-slider player toolbar, which allows me to
click play and the river height displays during the course of the event.

I've installed the QGOS2web plugin and watched videos about it but
haven't used it yet. I have a website and web server available from my
website host. I believe I can upload a map using QGIS2web tool and the
map will display in a browser.

Question. Does anyone know, and/or have experience of, whether an
animated web map is possible to publish e.g. via the QGIS2web tool. I
did some Google searches today and in YouTube but didn't find anything
about this.

Hello ___,

I'm not sure this will answer the specific question, but the preliminary program for FOSS4G 2025 has many talks about handling/displaying spatial data on the cloud using open software, different underlying architectures, and multiple use cases.  There is a chance that one or more of the talks may refer to state-of-the-art ways to tackle this task.  For more info:

Hopefully someone else will be able to answer the question directly though.

Hope it helps,
Juan
