Is there a pluging like the SRTM-Downloader pluggin for downloading Australian hidefinition elevations data?

Or other plugins for downloading australian geospacial data from within qgis?

The AusMap plugin has some handy stuff.  Pretty much just automates links to places like Geoscience Australia that you could connect directly to.

Direct downloads from Geoscience Australia for elevation data worked pretty well, unless I guess if you are trying to get just very small areas.

You can export chunks of the WMS elevation layers linked in Ausmap too.
