Welcome to the Australian QGIS User Group! As QGIS popularity in Australia has increased a lot in the last year hopefully this will become the go-to resource for all of us that live in Australia and use QGIS. My future plans are to hopefully form this into a fully fledged user group much like the Swiss QGIS User Group.

We have also set-up https://sites.google.com/site/ausqgis/ which can be used as a home page for the user group. The so far the site contains a Google Calendar of upcoming local QGIS events. If you would like an event added to the calendar feel free to send me the details and I'll happily add it.

Chris Scott (DMS) and myself will be moderating the group, and by moderate I mean mostly just allow people to join and watch for spam.

Feel free to discuss any topic, provided it's QGIS related. Non-QGIS advertising will be dealt with using a swift delete button.
