Is it possible to sort the Layers window alphabetically etc?
(alphabetically on the second character except when its a layer count with a prime number for its index in which case reverse alphabetical for those) ?

I loaded two SIMILAR but slightly different sets of data for the first time, side by side in QGIS as I tried to reconcile the layers and I found that they did not appear to be in a sane alphabetic order.

I cannot seem to find anything via google.

Regards,
David

Oops, In case anybody took seriously my comment in brackets,  it was tongue in cheek.

I just want to sort normally. !

Hey David,

Not currently though the UI.  There has been a refactor of the legend code before 2.4 so it will be possible in the future.  It could be done in Python but might be more work then just doing it by hand at this stage.

Thanks Nathan!   I look forward to that feature!   In  a way i'm glad its not there,  I spent so much time trying to find the feature that I was worried I was being blind and unable to find it!
Regards,
David
