2026 QGIS Grants

[QGIS Australia User Group]

Thanks to the QGIS' Sustaining Members and other donations, the QGIS Project are able to run a yearly Grants program. So how does this work?

Grants are open -> PSC and Contributors votes -> then Community Voting occurs -> Grants are awarded -> Work is conducted -> Reports submitted on completion.

As a representative for QGIS Australia, Em Hain currently holds the voting privilege and normally we would like your input.  

BUT STOP PRESS this year, the voting may be moot as they are looking to accept them all - we will keep you posted.

Please view the current proposals here (scroll down on the linked page for a summary of each). Normally, we would collect your preferences and then vote as per your replies.

 

Becoming part of the voting process is one way you can support the project, by directing the way forward. 

For next year, if the community has any technical issues they are needing, let us know so we can see if this is something that can be submitted. We have developers based in Australia that experienced in submitting and winning the grants.
