Dear All.

I have an odd one. I’m trying to create a mathematical formula in a field in QGIS like you would see in an Excel Spreadsheet, buy taken values from other fields and giving an answer in a separate field live as you are entering the values via dropdown lists. Is this possible?

Hi Mark, you can use a Value Map in the attributes form to generate a dropdown, and you can use a virtual field to have a dynamic value based on an expression.

See the attached GeoPackage. The layer has a default style that contains a value map and a virtual field demonstrating it. It uses a text expression but you could also use a math expression.
