Hi all

Firstly, thanks to Paul for reaching out and inviting me to your group :)

Next, I'm looking to recruit some technical expertise for someone in Melbourne to become part of my team for a project that looks at the conversion of dog waste into biogas, Poo Power! You may have seen it in the news recently as a result of the support of a Federal Government grant (DIISRTE). Yes, it's similar to other international projects (e.g. Park Spark) but with a number of differing elements and messages to a wide and diverse audience due to the nature of the grant to make it our own.

If this sounds like your thing, or would like to know more send me a PM, an email (dun...@greennation.com.au) or a message through the website: www.poopower.com.au

Looking forward to promoting the awesomeness of biogas generation!

Cheers
Duncan

Hi all

I came across on Facebook a timeline of solar PV technology. It was an animated version of this: http://inventors.about.com/od/timelines/a/Photovoltaics.htm

Does anyone know if a biogas version exists as I'm planning on developing an ebook/resource as part of the Poo Power! project

Cheers
Duncan

Hi Duncan,
I've got an article from Denmark with a fair bit of relevant history as well as a long report from Nepal with some history from non-industrialised country perspective. Will email the PDFs to your email.

G'day Duncan et al,

I have collected some webdom (wisdom from the web! perhaps it should be "wisweb") at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/biogas/history/

Hi Paul et al

Paul at the conference, from memory, you said, and I didn’t note..that you contribute to or host a Bio –Gas wiki?  How well did my memory serve me on this one?

Ciao.

G'day Richard,

Your memory is impecable - go to http://biogas.wikispaces.com/ and you can see the contents. If you want to contribute you will have to join wikispaces (for free) and ask to become a member (which I will approve!). It's mentioned on the ABG page as well.

Hi guys

Things are tracking along nicely... some aspects better than others however I can report that Melbourne Water are now supporting the project too.  Can't say too much until I sign the dotted line.  Shhh!!!

Anyway, the communication plan is in its draft format and feedback is sought before it gets revised and sent to the big guys in Canberra for approval.

Does anyone want to have a read of this 10-page document?  What I'm looking for is to ensure that the messaging themes around biogas generation are correct and that there aren't any glaring omissions.  That is, what does the "industry" what to hear and what do you want the public (or other specific audience members) to know.

Cheers
Duncan
