Years ago I had to shift a few trays of seedlings of A.difformis . The plants had been there maybe a year or so and had not flowered , but the thick succulent roots had grown into the thick layer of ballast .Months later I noticed many small plants growing in the exact spot I had shifted them from .

This got me thinking , that maybe they had sprouted from the roots . I had been doing root cuttings of some Drosera species [ Carnivorous plants , ‘Sundews’ ]

Last year sometime I had potted on some seedling Anchomanes , and a few of the small tubers had rotted , and all that was left was a lot of succulent roots .

I labeled the pot and left it , to see if I would get any sprouts again . Well it took a long time but I did.

There was one tiny leaf that I recognized .. it broke off when I emptied the pot out , but 2 other shoots are evident .
