I was certain this was a Xanthosoma . BUT I am not , nor will I ever
be, an expert .
Heard from a mate who is in the IAS in Florida , after a discussion
about Xanthosoma robustum .
[ The plant that is nearly always called X sagittifolium ]
This is actually going to be put in with Caladiums !! To be published
in the next Aroideana .
I have some nice little Alocasia portei from some pollination I did on
my plant late last year .
It has grown very well .. from a short little trunk approx 30 cms or
so to way over 1m now .
And in just 8 months .. I have photographic proof . Foliage is way up
there as well leaf is nearly 2m on a 2m petiole , so this is one
monster plant .
