Dear Climate friends,

 

This week the eyes of the world have turned to the UN Climate negotiations in Copenhagen (remember to check out my blogs for the latest news). But this weekend, I want the eyes of the world to turn to you.

 

Wherever you are in Australia (or indeed the world) please show your support for a fair, ambitious and binding agreement in Copenhagen by attending an event this weekend.

 

Across Australia there are Candle Light Vigils as well as the annual Walk Against Warming.  By attending one (or more!) of these events you will be sending a strong message to the Australian government and world leaders that the world wants to see action now, no delay.

 

This December 12 is your chance to say the climate can't wait.

The climate can't wait while politicians make excuses. 

The climate can't wait while deniers spread dangerous misinformation.

The climate can't wait while our future is in the balance.

 

I will be marching through the streets of Copenhagen on December 12 rugged up in my winter woollies. I look forward to hearing your stories and seeing your photos of inspired climate action back in sunny Australia.
