Dear Climate Trackers,

Firstly let me apologise for our radio silence, Phil and I were bamboozled by technology for a week there, but never fear, we are back in action and ready to update you on all the latest in the world of International climate negotiations.

Ready?

Strap yourself in.

Yesterday, our PM Rudd formally announced what we have all been guessing for a few weeks now. Rudd will be joining the climate party in Copenhagen this December. In one word this is “good” in two words this is “not enough”. Read what tracker Phil thinks of this announcement.

Last week, the UN climate talks wrapped up in the home of tapas, Gaudi and FC Barcelona. While this was the last time all of the negotiating teams will be together before the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen there really was very little to report out of these meetings. Phil sums it up in his blog “Smatterings of Hope and Hopelessness”

Phil wasn’t the only Australia following the UN climate talks in Barcelona, the CEO of World Vision Australia was also in Barcelona. He took 5mins out of his busy schedule to sit down with Phil and share his insights. Check out Tim and Phil’s short video blog.

That’s not all folks, there are so many more great blogs up on the Adopt A Negotiator site from our trackers from 12 other countries. It really is your one stop shop for international climate news as it happens.

But, we don’t want you to simply read the blogs. Make sure that your voice is heard. Please, leave your comments, questions, thoughts & general musings! We know that the Australian negotiating delegation are reading them. Make sure they know exactly what kind of future we want them to be negotiating on our behalf.

24 days left to the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen, and counting.

Very best regards,

Your trackers

Cara & Phil
