This afternoon's storm as recorded at Gilmore North

Hi all, 

We recorded a total of 35.4 mm of rain in this afternoon's storms (to be confirmed when I read the manual rain gauge in the morning) bringing the monthly total to 104.4 mm, well above the monthly average of 67.3mm. Of interest is that almost all of this month's rain came from just two events, 53.4 mm on the 8th and this afternoon's event.

Other notable falls in our area are.

Jingera (Hillside) 30.8; Jerangle (Lyons Creek) 39.0mm; Googong Hill 21.8mm; Farrer, 28.6mm; Rossi (Sawmill) 28.6mm; Ashley Drive (Monash) 42.2mm; Tuggeranong AWS 45.4mm.

A lot of locations around the ACT and region had little or no rain, showing the very localized extent of the storms.

Fortunately, I have seen no reports of flash flooding or hail damage, although we had water leak through our back verandah roof!
