Hi Don,
Simply extraordinary stats. I would think that numbers up on the North Coast would be even more spectacular. I wonder if the BOM will publish a Summary of the extreme weather so far this year.
Cheers
Gavin

Hi Gavin

A  lot of the  north coast  had a drier  April but  earlier  months  were  extreme.

Michael  Bath  who records  for the Bom  at McLeans Ridge  east of Lismore  has  already  had  his  wettest year  ever  and there is still  8 months  to  go !

I did a check of surrounding sites and looks like totals 60-70% above annual mean are the typical all-time records for sites in this area (back to late 1800s)

So, I'd look to see ~2500mm at McLeans Ridges 058023 for the year to go down as very much the wettest year on record.     But certainly, have cracked the 22-year dataset annual record as of 25 April !

It's a shame the Lismore 058214 and Ballina 058198 AWS have big gaps mucking up annual totals.

Regards, Michael
