Impressive (not in a good way) max temps today in areas like the Hunter and southern parts of the Mid North Coast in particular.

Taree Airport being one of them with their max temp so far today of 41.2C looking like it's set a new record for highest October max temp, even when factoring in the other site at Taree.

This comes on the heels of this as well:
