Sydney reached 23.8 this afternoon - hottest June day for 22 years.
The average max temp for 1st 12 days was 20.5 - the warmest start to winter on record
This followed a May with the coldest day 18.7 the "warmest" ever for this phenomonon in May.
Sydney's ONLY day this year so far under 18 was 17.6 on 27 March (coldest March day in 39 years
