My Letter to the Prime Minister re Staff cuts to the CSIRO

Hi all,

I think it's a waste to time, but I have written the following letter in the hope that something can be done to stop this silly decision by the Management of CSIRO. This cost cutting has been ongoing for the last few years, particularly under the previous neo liberal governments. The CSIRO has had to seek more and more funds from private enterprise over the last couple of decades, but they are driven by profits not science which to them is a waste of money since it doesn't produce immediate gains!
