Winter's certainly going out with a bang in a large section Australia's southeast.

Extensive snowfalls, as well as a big area of strong winds likely to affect a large part of the southeast today and tomorrow, particularly in southern VIC, the far southeast coast of SA, and some eastern parts of NSW, where these winds could carry some significant damage potential.

I'd also be interested to see if some parts of the southern coast of VIC and southeast coast of SA experience local storm surge effects.

2 tornadoes in northern suburbs of Adelaide this morning, with the unusual occurrence of them even making it onto a BOM warning.

3rd time lucky - I tried sending this link this morning in my previous two replies but for some reason, they didn't seem to get through to this forum:

Hi Ken.

See by how all things are spinning that it isn't just a big wind gust. Some stuff going one way and other stuff the other way.

70.8kmh from NW at 3.20pm this arvo. Very strong for where we are. Exactly the time when I pick the kids up from school in my bus.

Terrible trip south after that with gusty wind makes driving these "square bricks" hard work. Very hard to hold them on the road with extreme gusts hitting us from side on.

Was surprised though that there was only little branches down on my run. The warnings from Wangaratta were going mad though, so they must have copped it pretty hard.

Thanks.

Regards Bussy
