I found the eyewitness comments at the end of this article particulary
interesting.

Another thing is that the trail of damage began almost right next to the
Terry Hills Radar. About 75 metres to its west, from our own observation as
we drove past just after the damage and when the RFS were beginning their
clean up on the west bound side of Mona Vale Road.
