Hi Ladies! If you're masters and gm eligible, come on out to Yeehaw (TX women masters) tryouts and scrimmage next weekend for a fun weekend of ultimate! Come play with fellow female players 'of age' even if you don't plan on joining the masters team. See details below.

Ladies,

We've pared down the list one more time, and now have 12 ladies committed for try-outs, and a few more who may join. Some grandmaster's ladies will also join us for both days, and we will also recruit some master's eligible ladies to join us for the srimmage on Sunday. This will be a fun weekend of ultimate, and we look forward to playing with you all!

Details:

Try-Outs - Saturday, April 13th 10:30 am-2:30 pm, Zilker Park, Austin, TX. Suzanne will fill in on more details. Lunch, drinks, and Sol-Roughnecks game to follow.

Scrimmage - Sunday, April 14th 9 -11 am, Zilker Park, Austin, TX.

As a reminder - this is what we are looking for at try-outs and the scrimmage! If you will not be at try-outs, we'll base decisions on previous Yeehaw experience / performance or word-of-mouth if not a Yeehaw aluma (feel free to send us your ultimate resume in an email).

Expectations:

1. Positive attitude and team-focused

2. Baseline fitness (keeping in mind we are not as young as we once were)

3. Basic ultimate skills (open-side throws, cutting basics, marking, defensive positioning)

Selection Criteria:

1. Expectations as outlined above

2. Ultimate IQ (offensive adaptability, zone, defensive switching, etc.)

3. Advanced ultimate skills (breaking the mark, quick disc movement, continue cuts, defensive)

4. Commitment level / Previous Yeehaw experience / Ultimate resume

Roster will be announced after try-outs in anticipation of the team roster deadline on April 26th. The more people we have on the roster, the less likely we will play a regional, but nationals is not guaranteed.
