Dear Austin Ultimate,

tldr;

UPLA will be sending future communications to users of our website. We will continue to moderate emails to this list, and likely use occasionally, but if you wish to see the Scoober and our upcoming events, you should create an account/set email preferences for your account (Instructions).

Why?

As we have grown, we have relied more upon the features of our website. At this time, our website has a user database that is 4x larger than this list and more accurately reflects users of our programs. In addition, we can segment our communication to target youth, women's or men's activities to the right list of people, cutting down on overall traffic and ensuring communication you receive is more targeted to your interests.

Purpose of this Google Group

This group will not be going away. There are still over a thousand members and it is frequently used by organizers in our neighboring communities to pass on their events. UPLA will continue to moderate it. If you wish to post anything, feel free to do so, or if you would rather it go to the users of upla.austinultimate.org, send it to upla...@gmail.com and we will pass along (if appropriate) to the proper group of users.
