The USAU Youth Club Championships are an opportunity for local players under 20 years of age (high school or younger) to play at the NATIONAL level at a USA Ultimate-sanctioned event. YCC takes place in August in Blaine, Minnesota. The travel required and multi-day nature of the tournament makes it a unique experience of team bonding, competitive ultimate, and spirited play. UPLA has been supporting both girls and boys YCC players since 2016. Players and their families are required to support their travel to the event (though UPLA provides team and coach funds to make the teams possible).
YCC will be having open practices on Sundays, starting October 21st, at Rosewood Park. All players under 20 are encouraged to come out and begin practicing for the upcoming season. This is a huge opportunity for young players to develop their skills and build chemistry with other players in the community. We will focus on everything from fundamentals of throwing to defensive/offensive strategies, and speed/agility training.
