Trail advocates,

The bi-annual American Trails Symposium will be held this year in Little Rock, Nov 15-18 2008.  This was held in Austin in 2004 and in the Quad Cities (Iowa/Ill) in 2006.  They'll be putting out a call for presentation proposals in Feb as well and I'll forward that info when they post it.  I did a session in 2006 about working with volunteers on trails and in 2004 in Austin I helped organize one of the field trips.

American Trails is a non-profit big tent trails group - everything from hiking to motorized to biking - you name it.  Info about the symposium is here: http://www.americantrails.org/2008/

Their website has a lot of good info - lots of technical info and links and its well worth being a member.
