Austin Trail Network(ers)

Below is an announcement for the annual Texas Trails Network conference, late Jan 2008 at the Woodlands Texas.  I went to the conference last year and it was very good and would encourage you, if you have the time and the funds, to consider going.

I cannot go due to several board meetings and a trip already scheduled, but would encourage any of you to do so if you'd like to find out more about what is going in other communities with trails across Texas.

Hope your holidays are great!

Charlie

Dear Trail Enthusiast:

The value of trails is clear and Texas Trails Network (TTN) is at the forefront of “trails in Texas”.  As a TTN Board Member, I’d like to personally invite you to attend all or part of our upcoming 2008 Statewide Trails Conference.  This “trails-focused” educational/networking event will be held January 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2008 in The Woodlands, Texas, a community nationally recognized for its integrated trail system.

Outstanding keynote and session speakers will share innovations and expertise in trail planning and design, trail maintenance, economics/tourism of trails and programming.  Among the speakers are Dr. Jeff Ross, MD, co-chair of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness; Robert Rayburn, senior project manager for the Energy Corridor District in Harris County; Rosie Zamora, President of Houston Wilderness; and Miles Phillips, Professor of Nature/Eco-tourism at Texas A&M University.  Trail initiatives and development from Houston, Austin, Dallas and other areas around the state will be highlighted.

Our Exhibit Hall is almost sold out as well and will offer you the opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals. The price is right; the energy high and the location perfect for January.

Please consider joining me.  All conference information and registration forms are easily found on our Texas Trails Network website www.texastrails.org.  Hope you can make it.  Feel free to share this message with your trail friends and neighbors.

Respectfully,

Joe Moore, Board Member
Past Chairman TTN
