If you know of anyone doing work in Dallas/Fort Worth that could use up to $25k for their social innovation, please relay this on. Deadline: October 29th. It neatly complements Austin's wonderful $50k social innovation competition: http://www.dellsocialinnovationcompetition.com. First round closes in March, so you've got time for that one.

And a brief update on the status of the hub: it's on hiatus, as I'm sure you could tell. The core local crew is smaller now--I'm in Singapore, others are moving as well--so more good people are very, very much welcome. The promise of the hub is still alive. And the mechanism for bringing it to life (i.e., revenue model) looks doable, as it is based on successful models elsewhere. We just need the time or energy of a few catalytic people. If you can be one of those people--even if it's for a specific short-term period--please let us know!

Cheers,

James
