Hello all,

I'll be hosting a very special Christmas themed Dr. Sketchy next Thursday, December 17th from 7:30-9:30pm at the United States Art Authority Building as part of a fundraiser for Community Art Makers http://communityartmakers.com/

Community Art Makers is the group that built the Resolution Clock Tower for First  Night Austin last year and the amazing temple for Burning Man 2009. If you have not seen these beautiful and inspiring creations, I urge you to look here:

I had the joy of working on the temple for Burning Man this year and working with Community Art Makers to bring such beauty and inspiration into the world is very dear to my heart. So please join me as I help them bring their artwork to First Night Austin http://www.firstnightaustin.org/ again this year to start 2010 with a bang/flame. :)

Join Dr. Sketchy for three models (myself included) in various stages of Christmas inspired costumes as we unwrap ourselves for your sketching/painting pleasure. $5 Donation Requested and all money goes directly to Community Art Makers. Elves, Angels, Snow Bunnies! You never know what sort of themed hotness will show up on the stage that night. I wouldn't be too surprised if Santa stopped by to check to see who is being naughty or nice. (I guess that I'm in trouble!) Bring your Christmas Cheer and Generosity!

Come for Dr. Sketchy and stay for the silent and live art auction that Community Art Makers have planned for post-Sketchy. They have lots of amazing art and smaller inexpensive creations that would make great Christmas presents. Also, we will have the bar open inside the Art Authority and DJs. If anyone is inspired to donate their art from the session, we will gladly raffle it off for a great cause. :) You can read more about the rest of their fundraiser here: http://communityartmakers.com/?p=1030

Please RSVP with me by email before Wednesday, December 16th. $5 Donation for Chairs. Sorry, no tables at this one.

If I don't see you before January, enjoy your holidays and appreciate the beauty and joy you have in your life. :)

D
