Good opportunity to talk about Off Leash Areas! Please consider attending one or all.

Two existing off leash areas will be included, 9/21 AM and PM meetings. APF has also requested off leash at Palm Park, scheduled for discussion 9/22.

Downtown Austin Plan - Parks and Open Space Public Meetings

Citizens are invited to attend an important work session taking place as part of the Downtown Austin Plan’s efforts to develop a Downtown Parks and Open Space Master Plan. park.

The consultant team has been busy assessing Austin’s existing park plans and policies, researching "best practices" for urban parks around the country, and inventorying and assessing the current state of our Downtown parks. We need your help identifying the future needs of Austin’s downtown parks. Please join us for any or all of the meetings below to identify those needs as well as programming suggestions or the designated park.

The meetings will be an interactive discussion using maps and photographic images to discuss overall goals for the downtown park system, the range of activities that downtown parks could support, and the specific programmatic and design elements suitable for the designated park. With the feedback that the consultant collects they will prepare programmatic and spatial diagrams of each of the downtown parks, which will be presented at the Parks and Open Space Town Hall meeting on November 14th.
