The City of Austin Parks and Recreation and Watershed Protection
Departments will host a community forum to discuss and review the
plans for the vegetation restoration project in Bull Creek District
Park. The forum will take place on Monday, November 9, 2009, at One
Texas Center, Room 325, 505 Barton Springs Road from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
The heavy usage of the park has eliminated most of the vegetation and
has resulted in the soil being compacted and erosion near the creek.
The restoration project will return the park to its natural beauty and
restore native vegetation around the creek. These plants serve as a
first defense against pollution and erosion throughout the park. The
forum will include the scope of the Bull Creek District Park
Restoration project.
