If you voted in the Primary election, you ARE NOT eligible to participate in any of these conventions as a delegate, nor are you able to run for office
To be eligible for the County Convention, you MUST attend and register in the Precinct Convention.
Precinct Convention – Tuesday, March 12, 2024; 7:00 PM.
Individual voters affiliate with the Libertarian Party and sign up to be delegates to the County Convention.
This event will be combined with our normal March LPTravis meeting, with a slight shift to TUESDAY, March 12, 2024.

County Convention – Saturday, March 16, 2024; 10:00 AM.
Election of County party officers for two-year terms, nominate candidates for public offices wholly within Travis County, elect delegates to the State Convention, and handle party business, specifically the proposed updates to LPTravis By-Laws. Other business may be raised by delegates from the floor.

BYLAWS UPDATE:
Thanks to Art Dibianca, Bob Ruliffson, Girish Altekar, Patrick Dixon, Diane Engel, and Ted Brown for their review and edits of the Draft Proposed Bylaws. The most current copy is attached to the Liberator for all to review further as you so desire. We look forward to presenting these for discussion and approval at County Convention.

LPTexas Convention – Weekend of April 12-14. Delegates from all over Texas convene to elect state party officers for two-year terms, nominate candidates for statewide office, select delegates to the National Presidential Nominating Convention, and conduct party business, such as changes to the platform & bylaws.
NOTE: LPTexas has a full weekend schedule, starting on Friday evening, and continuing through Sunday evening. Delegates are encouraged to participate in all business sessions, including the Sunday afternoon session. Please plan accordingly.

· The Austin Liberator strongly endorses Jessi Cowart for LPTexas Vice Chair.
· The Austin Liberator strongly endorses Joe Burnes for LPTexas Treasurer.
