*Christine Weems is the sitting judge of the 281st civil district court in Harris County.  She is double board certified in Personal injury and Civil Trial Law, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates - an invitation only, honorary organization for trial lawyers who believe in the seventh amendment right to a jury trial in civil cases and civility in the practice of law.  Judge Weems is the Director of Mock Trial at the University of Houston Law Center where she is also an adjunct professor teaching Trial Advocacy and Jury Selection.  She routinely is among the top five of civil district court judges in Harris County in the Houston Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Poll.  She is married to a playwright, the mother of three boys and an extra in the movie Office Space.  Judge Weems is currently the Democratic nominee for the Texas Supreme Court Place 4.
