DR. MARY RUWART TO SPEAK AT OCTOBER 14 MEETING:

Dr. Mary Ruwart, author of “Healing Our World” and “Short Answers to Tough Questions” and Chair of Liberty International, will speak at the October 14 meeting of the Libertarian Party of Travis County. Mary started her career in pharmaceutical research and was involved in developing new therapies for illnesses like cirrhosis and AIDS. Since then, she has been a libertarian writer and speaker, with a focus on communicating libertarian ideas in an effective way. She has been a Libertarian candidate for a number of offices and has sought the Libertarian Party presidential, nomination.

In addition: Kodi Sawin, an independent candidate for State House, District 19, is coming by to say a few words about her campaign.

 

Date: Monday, October 14, 2024

Time: 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Location: Casa Chapala, 9041 Research Blvd., in Austin (at 183 & Burnet Road)

TAX HIKES GALORE ON NOVEMBER BALLOT:

While most voters are concentrating on the national election, local boards and agencies are trying to sneak through major bond measures and other tax hike proposals that may lie under most people’s radar.
