2. $25B surplus?

From Texas Scorecard, March 22:

“...As Texans across the state are reeling from high inflation rates and skyrocketing gas prices, a rumor is circulating among the Texas Legislature that next session may bring a $25 billion surplus…”

Ted Brown, the LP candidate for Texas House, District 50, says,

“... The $25 billion belongs to the taxpayers of Texas, not to the state legislators. The entire amount must be returned to taxpayers…”

3. Austin Reasonoids return

From the Austin Reasonoids Meetup group:

“We're fans--or, at least, occasional consumers--of Reason Magazine, Reason.com, ReasonTV, and associated writings, podcasts, tweets, etc. Let's gather and discuss the latest, shake our heads, and (now and again) celebrate positive news with other actual humans, over food and/or drink! You don't have to be a libertarian, Libertarian, anarchist, objectivist, nor even a connoisseur of leather jackets to join, but civility and adherence to the ‘principle of charity’ are strongly encouraged!”

“Greetings! It's March again and history is on the march--best not get caught under its boot. It's time for Austin Reasonoids to shake off the winter gloom, limber up, and set out for parts north-ish. Our last gathering at Draught House was at least two global crises ago. Reason enough to go secure a table, order up a beverage, and catch up on the latest. Come by if you can!”

7. What is a libertarian?

Some say libertarians are "plotting to take over the world and leave you alone."

This 2-minute video from Learn Liberty tells "Free Will and Human Dignity: A Love Story."

"The Conversation" is a 13-minute dramatization from the Foundation for Harmony and Prosperity.

Read this short commentary from Leonard E. Read (written in 1955): "In an ideal America."

Dr. Tom Palmer explains the libertarian principle in chapter 1 (pp. 3-12) of the 2013 book, Why Liberty.

Take this short (10 question) online quiz from the Advocates for Self-Government to see if you might have libertarian leanings: “The World’s Smallest Political Quiz.
