Autumn is here...allegedly.

September Meeting w/ Special Guests Dan Behrman, Whitney Bilyeu.

LPTravis hosted Scott Horton, former Presidential Candidate Dan Behrman, and LPTexas Chair Whitney Bilyeu for the September 11 regular meeting. Mr. Horton provided a in-depth analysis and critique of US international interventionism, and signed books for a number of us.  Dan "Taxation is Theft" Behrman brought some good perspective and a bottle of his Blood of Tyrants wine, which had been derived from immigrated across state line grapes, transported through Mexico and into the US without declaration or license, and was sold to David Roberson without either of them having TABC certification. Sic semper Tyrannus!

Jeramy Kitchen to Speak on Fiscal Responsibility and Discuss New Ballot Propositions

It may not be common knowledge, but Texas voters will go to the polls soon to cast
ballots on 14 proposed Texas constitutional amendments. (See related article for
Libertarian Party positions.) To tell us what these propositions are about, we welcome

also tell us how the proposed property tax cuts may not be exactly what overburdened
Texas taxpayers have been expecting.

Location: Casa Chapala, 9041 Research Blvd., in Austin (near 183 & Burnet Road)

Texas Gamefowl Breeders Association - Annual Meeting 10/28 (w/Angela McCardle, David Roberson)

The TGBA, who's affliate Doni Anthony spoke at a recent LPTravis meeting, will be holding their annual meeting in Gatesville, Texas (1 hour north of Austin) on October 28, 2023. David Roberson is currently assisting this organization's lobbying, legislative, and legal efforts to resist arbitrary expansion of the AWA (Animal Welfare Act) to restrict further how fowl are transported, when they can be bred/sold/etc. Everyone is encouraged to join and make connections with liberty minded folks.

Believe it or not, we are are only 91 days away from December 25th. The LPTravis holiday party has always been a good time to mingle beyond just business matters. Currently, the tentative date is 12/15 but up for discussion at next meeting. Suggestions for locations, White Elephant/Secret Santa, etc. are all welcome!
