For reference, here's the email with the schedule I just sent to the
group. We'll be posting some messaging you can send to your fellow
members soon. Thanks again for your help making our user testing a big
success.

. . .

Thanks for your support of our user testing and for promoting these
opportunities to your group's membership. The feedback will be vital
to the success of the new website.

We've included the schedule below and have some ideas on how to best
leverage the time we can access the Austin Energy Training facility.

Our suggestion is that you determine as a group using the Google
resource the best time among those listed below for you all to attend.
You can attend this time as a group with other members of the
community.

We can meet in the room an hour before or stay a half hour later and
take some time to work through any regular business of the group, such
as the charter, other members, etc. As you select a good time, please
also let us know if you would prefer to meet before or after the
regular testing period.

Preferably one of the times will work for most or all of you, while
there are still enough times that the others could find to come in and
take some time to look at the site and go through some planned
exercises.

We will also promote these opportunities to the community at large,
with separate messages/invitations to the Community Technology and
Telecommunications Commission, the CityWorks Academy, Refresh Austin
and other groups.

Here are the available times. We'll be sending more info out to you
soon! Thank you for your help!

I can attend during any of these meeting times, but would strongly
prefer the December 7th daytime meeting if others are able to do
that.

I also prefer the 7 Dec daytime meeting. I know that weekday meetings are often viewed as a deterrent for public participation, but the cumulative number of week night meetings gets really hard on ones family and social life! It would be good to offer user testing opportunity options for both day and evening times.

I'd rather have the discussion meeting after the scripted user testing.

All,

For some reason I am on two separate threads about this meeting. Wednesday, December 7th from 9-11AM seems to have the most votes, so I will jump on the bandwagon here to make things easy. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Thanks,

I see three votes through the Google group for Dec. 7th in the
morning, but I've seen a couple of contrary e-mails coming from some
other origin. I'm going to add Dec. 7th on the calendar and assume
that this is as much of a consensus as we're going to get.

Thanks Chantel,

I think that is a good decision. I will see you all on December 7th at 9AM.

Seems like there is general agreement on Dec. 7 meeting. I will send
out a formal invitation to you all for that date.

As a reminder, we will "rope off" seats for you at this meeting -
there hopefully will be other members of the community who attend to
participate in the focus group exercise.

The plan will be to have a brief meeting for the group after the focus
group is finished - does that sound acceptable to everyone?
