USA Songwriting Competition is presenting a songwriters showcase during Austin's SXSW Music and Media Conference, long recognized as the largest musician conference and festival. USA Songwriting Competition is bringing five outstanding music acts:

~Casii Stephan & the Midnight Sun (Honorable Mention winner, 22nd USA Songwriting Competition)

~Kimmi Bitter & The Night Howls

The showcase is hosted by USA Songwriting Competition's representative Paul Adragna, a singer/songwriter from Austin, Texas.

This will mark USA Songwriting Competition's 16th Annual Songwriters Showcase during SXSW (SXSW Music and Media Conference), to be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 7.00pm to 10.30pm at Mozart's Coffee Roasters, 3826 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX (512) 477-2900. There is no cover charge and no SXSW badge is needed to attend the showcase. Past venues included the now defunct Borders Bookstore and the Barnes and Noble bookstore.

The 23rd Annual USA Songwriting Competition is currently accepting entries. Sponsors are: USA Songwriting Competition is sponsored by: Sony, D'Addario Strings, Recording Magazine, New Music Weekly, Loggins Promotion, Airplay Access, Audio-Technica, Presonus, Sonoma Wireworks, SongTrust, etc.

USA Songwriting Competition is the world’s preeminent songwriting competition, has been honoring songwriters from all over the world for the 23rd consecutive year. Winners came from Australia, Japan, Canada, UK, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, USA, etc.

The track record of past entrants getting signed and hitting the charts are staggering – a massive 85 songs have entered the Billboard Hot 100 Charts from these entrants. Past winners have gotten recording contracts, getting their songs on film, TV as well as getting cuts with major artists. The 2013 Top winner rock band “American Authors” hit #1 on the Billboard Charts and went Double Platinum, selling over 2 million copies. The 2007 winner Air Gold hit Top 10 on the Billboard charts with his winning song 6 months after his win. The 2005 Winner of the Country category had his winning song cut by Country Superstar Faith Hill. The 2005 winner of the Pop category was signed by Interscope Records. Our 2008 winner appeared on David Letterman TV show and got signed to a record label. The top two winners of 2011: Nenna Yvonne and Alexander Cardinale were signed to Interscope Records after their win.

Songs may be entered in 15 different categories including Pop, Rock/Alternative, R&B and Country. Entries are accepted from now through May 31, 2018. For more information, visit:
