This is the last week for Austin musicians and bands to place their free
entry in the 1996 Austin Musicians Register. Entries must be received by
Friday, Jan. 26. The entry form is available online at:

ABOUT THE AUSTIN MUSICIANS REGISTER
Now in its 13th year, the Austin Musicians Register is the city's largest
roster of performing musicians and bands. The 1995 Register listed over
700 bands, and this year's listing is expected to be even larger.
_The Austin Chronicle_ -- Austin's largest independent newsweekly
(readership: over 200,000) -- publishes this special issue for the benefit
of musicians and other professionals involved in Austin's unique music
scene. The Musicians Register is scheduled to run as a special section
within the February 23, 1996 issue of the _Chronicle_. Additional copies
of the Register will be included in the bags of registered attendees at
the upcoming SXSW Music Festival <http://www.sxsw.com/sxsw/>, and the
Music Register will also be made available on the _Chronicle_'s World Wide
Web site <http://www.auschron.com/>.

FREE FOR AUSTIN PERFORMERS
There is no charge for Austin musicians to enter the Register; each
performer/band is entitled to a description (up to 35 words), discography
of recent commercial releases, and contact information, at no cost.
Performers wishing to help their listing stand out from the hundreds of
other entries are given the option of submitting a photograph or logo to
be printed above their listing, at a cost of only $25.

ENTER ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB
Entry forms have been printed in recent issues of _The Austin Chronicle_
(available at over 950 locations all around Austin), and are also
available at the _Chronicle_ offices. Beginning this year, you can also
enter your band's listing directly via the _Chronicle_'s World Wide Web
site, at the following address:

(NOTE: You will need a forms-capable Web browser to place your entry.) All
entries must be submitted by midnight on Friday, Jan. 26th.

ENTRANTS ELIGIBLE FOR MUSICIANS APPRECIATION SUPPER
Once you've filled out a listing, your band members are eligible to pick
up free passes for the 1996 Musicians Appreciation Supper, to be held on
Tuesday, February 6th. (Passes are limited, so hurry.) For more
