Responsibilities:
Develop key technical tools to facilitate successful technical sales
engagement. Demonstrate the company's products and services to all levels
within an organization. Actively partner with the sales technical team in
attainment of regional sales goals. Provide technical support on pre-sale
calls and evaluations including technical discussions, demonstrations and
presentations. Maintain technical competence by keeping abreast of
technology and technological developments, practices, procedures, etc. Plan
and direct own activities with minimal supervision.
Position Requirements:
3-5 years of successful pre-sales experience or equivalent. Prior successful
experience delivering technology solutions to all levels within an
organization from executive management through the technical staff. Clear
knowledge of technical support issues and the technical and business
limitations of current solutions. Experience working within a sales
organization and being responsible for the technical aspects of the sales
cycle. 2-3 years systems administration on UNIX and NT systems or
equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience in the PC Desktop environment.
Skills/Knowledge:
Background in NT systems administration (network configuration, software
installation, services, general administration). Working knowledge of MSSQL
Server or Oracle, MS Internet Information Services (IIS), MS Index Server.
Detailed knowledge of HTML and Java or JavaScript. Working knowledge of XML.
Programming/Scripting background. Able to understand and explain related
technical issues. Excellent communication, organizational and time
management skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership
skills.
