Trail-blazing and well-funded Austin-based startup has a crucial spot
to fill for a Lead ACPI Software Engineer. Company is early-stage so
this is a critical position that they need to fill ASAP to get the product
off the ground. You will lead a small team of developers charged with
the design, implementation, and testing of the Advanced Configuration
and Power Interface (ACPI) function of their revolutionary 64-bit server
product. You will play a key role in determining what new features should
be added to reach the desired power management specifications in both
Windows and Linux environments (you may also be involved with the incorporation
of ACPI OS level functionality into Linux).
You should have a total of 6-8 years of professional software development
experience with AT LEAST 2 years of ACPI design and/or implementation
experience. Specific skills and experience necessary include:
* Proficiency with ACPI 2.0 to the coding level and the operation of OSPM
(Windows a must, Linux a plus).
* strong C programming skills.
* ability to lead a team in a startup atmosphere.
* Expert knowledge of the Windows server operating systems.
* Solid understanding of Windows and/or Linux server operating systems.
Company is early-stage and is leading the curve by developing Windows
and Linux 64-bit industry standard server technology and products. They
are tackling both the Hardware and Software side of the server development
with industry gurus leading both sides. They have plenty of money in
the bank and are ramping up very quickly! Now is the perfect time to
