I have a natureal backyard (ie very messy) and would like to landscape
part of it so the kids can run, play or roll on it.
What needs to be done is to trim/remove some trees, remove stones,
gravels and garbage, grade the lawn, and whatever work is needed to lay
the lawn.
To save some money (true?) I would like to be my own contractor to hire
a person to bulldoze the tree and stones then hire the lawn people to
grade the soil and lay the lawn etc.
I have seen these people working at new home sites but don't know where
to find them. (I gues I could just ask the bulldozer operator.) I tried
the yellow page but all is in there are landscape contractors who would
do the whole job.
Should I go about to be my own contractor or just hire a landscaper and
let him/her handles everything?
Any experience and recommendations?
