A letter I received from Harry Reid!
Dear John,
Even after our bloodiest summer in Iraq, George Bush still refuses to
reevaluate his flawed strategy that led to one of the worst foreign
policy blunders in our nation's history. A change of course in Iraq is
long overdue, and I will fight for that change in the coming weeks.
In July, several Republicans began to speak out against the
President's failed strategy. But when it came time to vote, they
continued to back George Bush.
I promise you, I will not let these Republicans hide. When the Senate
returns to Washington, I will force them to take vote, after vote,
after vote on bringing an end to the war in Iraq. Talk is cheap --
their votes are what really count. Republicans will have to decide, do
they stand with the President or with the American people?
This summer, Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, a coalition of
organizations working to end the war, put pressure on these
Republicans utilizing hundreds of organizers and thousands of
volunteers. Their efforts will culminate with town hall meetings and
Stand Up Vigils across the country on August 28th.
Take A Stand Town Halls and Stand Up Vigils are part of a nation-wide
organizing drive to demand that members of Congress stand with the
vast majority of Americans who want a safe and responsible
redeployment of American Forces from Iraq.

In September the White House will issue its report on the surge. They
will try to use this moment to convince the American people that the
escalation worked.
That's why if you want to end the war, it is vital you participate in
this event. We need to put as much pressure as possible on Republicans
in Congress.

Thanks for posting this buffoon's diatribe. It lets more people know
just how stupid dingy harry can be.
Mike Smith
I assume you are going to be there supporting the efforts of the
majority of the people of this great nation!! It's the noble
"n" PATRIOTIC thing to do!!!-:)
Just use type in your zip code to find out the closest place to
rally!!!-:)

Yep, I already have my protest sign...
Really Stupid
People
Exercising Their
1st Amendment Rights
Really Stupid is in a font that is 1/3 as big as the rest of the
message. I expect a lot of "high fives".
{Yes, liberals ARE that stupid}
Mike Smith
Mike, get someone to take a picture and post a link to a.g for us, 'K?
Whoops... I have a problem. The handful of Houston protesters will be
flaunting their 1st amendment rights this Tuesday, about 15 miles away
from my house, so it is rather inconvenient. {Downtown Houston or
Sugarland}
Also, The First 5 Years of Saturday Night Live is on TV, and that's
more important than having a chance to tweak some really stupid
people. Sure, I could record it, but...
Mike Smith
What happened??? Did Jesse Jackson's gun protest fall on its
collective face? Is it anywhere Nationally?
In Houston, it was invisible or it never happened or the rain bumped
it off of the news cycle.
Mike Smith
Probably it was the news of a Republican hypocrite gloryholer, not to
mention the controlled press, which has little regard for publishing
news, that had to do with "bumping". If, indeed, that was the
case!!!-:)
> Probably it was the news of a Republican hypocrite gloryholer,
What exactly is this in reference to?
The homo "reporter" brought in to toss softball questions at Bush,
or some other prominent Republican?
