Sharon to Peres: "Don't worry about American pressure;
we control America"

Occupied Jerusalem: 3 October, 2001 (IAP News)

An acrimonious argument erupted during the Israeli cabinet weekly
session last week between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and
his foreign Minister Shimon Peres during which Sharon reportedly
yelled at Peres, saying "don't worry about American pressure, we
control America."

According to Israel radio (in hebrew) Kol Yisrael, Peres warned
Sharon Wednesday that refusing to heed incessant American
requests for a cease-fire with the Palestinians would endanger
Israeli interests and "turn the US against us."

At this point, a furious Sharon reportedly turned toward Peres,
saying "every time we do something you tell me Americans will do
this and will do that. I want to tell you something very clear,
don't worry about American pressure on Israel, we, the Jewish
people control America, and the Americans know it."

The radio said Peres and other cabinet ministers warned Sharon
against saying what he said in public because "it would cause us
a public relations disaster."

That's not the way I heard the story. A girlfriend of mine works for Isreal
as a part-time callgirl and she was there in the room half naked
when the two erupted in an argumant. What really happened was Sharon
got angered when he learned Peres had an American boyfriend and
turned into a rage syaing the Jewish control all American gay men,

Jewish/American pro Israeli influence is surely very strong (as is christian
sympathy). No doubt about it. With Muslims seeking the same sort of
influence will the US become another lebanon?

No! Just another twenty thousand american dead before we start
laying waste to every fucking mosque, church and synagoge around
the world, and hopefully, everyone in attendance. The religions of
Abraham's bastards have been the real plague on mankind for the last
three thousand years. We wiped out smallpox thirty years ago.
Now we should take care of ridiculous, unsound and absurd
religions which pretty much covers - Islam, Christianity, Judaism
and Scientology.

Check out Pantheism sometime. It doesn't require massive body counts or
anything like that. All it requires is a respect & reverence for the world
around us and the universe in general.

Pantheism was OK for Einstein & Spinoza, perhaps others might study it too.
At least it teaches a respect for the flora & fauna of the planet,
regardless of how we benefit from them.

<snip - previous attack on many holy sacred traditions and other bullshit>

I'm confused. Why would we want to worship panthers? ; - )

Just kidding,

I thought pantheism was the belief that everything would pan out in
the end? :-)

I worship science, biology and common sense.

I don't need some psuedo new-age quasi religious designation to be
comfortable with my world and my finite blink of a universal time in
it.

Cali Pantheism, a rising new religion of disaffected Pantheists, states that
not only will everything not pan out in the end, but that all people will be
jumping from said pan into the fire.

Sometimes people on usenet remind me of a silly girlfriend I had
back in San Francisco who used to take every sociology class she
could and spent her whole days reading self-help books.
2 years later she was still fucked up and even worse.

Sometimes people are so dense and lazy thinkers that they either go
into religion or become liberals.

Sometimes I don't know which ones are posting on usenet at any given time.

Was she dating you this whole time?
