need recomendations for exterior house painter...

I need to paint my house and need some recomendations for a good
reasonable painter. I'd like to get 3 bids before I select the painter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve:

We had our former home painted by Balcones Painting, and we were very
satisfied with their work and attitude. We had three bids, theirs came
in at the middle, but they were much more professional than the low bid.
They power washed the house, removed loose paint, and as they did the
trim with brushes, they even carried a hammer to seat the nails that had
risen over time. Then they sprayed the house, and they were careful
to avoid overspray. I also found it interesting that the owner, who
did much of the work, is a former programmer who went into business for
himself as a painter.

This was about four or five years ago.
