Fellow Owners/Residents,

This past weekend, there was a fire on the deck at Treehouse Condominiums. We were fortunate in that the fire was isolated and was quickly put out by the fire dept. As you can imagine, the outcome could have been disastrous as a resident lives in a unit directly below the deck.

Effective immediately:

THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING ON THE DECK.

Below are excerpts from the resident:

Yes I'm okay! So is the unit, from what I can tell. It was a bizarre 45min, but the fireman arrived very quickly and put out the fire immediately. They say it was caused by "improperly disposed of smoking materials," so it wasn't a more serious fire caused by electrical or gas.

The firemen came into the unit to look at the ceiling during the event, and they felt confident things were okay from the inside out. They sprayed the deck with water and then doused it in foam, so they are confident they caught all of the fire before it could spread. There wasn't any water damage or fire damage from the inside, but I'm not sure how much, if any, the fire burned through the deck.

Attached is a copy of the posting by the Treehouse Condominiums Association Manager.  Please review attached.
