Experienced Java Programmer needed in Cedar Park, TX

A 15-person technology company in Cedar Park is looking to add a strong Java developer to their team of hardware and manufacturing engineers. The company provides software and hardware tools & services to the energy industry. They have enjoyed substantial growth over the last year and are excited to add another person to round out their product development team. As a company, they take pride in technical innovation, which has greatly contributed to their success--in part from their team of diverse and talented staff, and a constructive teamwork environment.

Responsibilities:

* Develop new Java Swing-based graphics intensive user applications for data visualization

* Support existing applications with field updates

* Develop the next generation Web Applications as well as support the current generation

* Work closely with domain experts on short iterations (has the chance to shape the company's processes)

Skills required:

* Java experience: 2-4 years

* NetBeans IDE knowledge

* Swing UI experience: 1-2 years

* Web application experience using Sun's Glassfish

* Database experience with PostgreSQL

* Revision Control experience with Subversion

* Experience communicating to hardware with drivers.

* Work independently, and solve hardware/software issues
