I wold like to start meeting in two weeks to start discussing the Agile Principles and Patterns book.  I have been working finding a location.  I've had some request to make the meetings available online.  To that end I'm working on securing the meeting room at the Microsoft office and use Live Meeting to record and broadcast the discussions.

I realize that this location is very far in North Austin, especially if you are working South or downtown.  Even if we broadcast live I would still like to have a face-face discussion as well.  If this is too far North for those interested, then I will start looking for a new location.  I am also open to rotating the meeting locations to get more person-person interaction.

So how many of you would be able to meet at the Microsoft office for lunch every other week, around 11:30-1:00 ish?

For how many is this impossible and a more central location would allow you to join more frequently

How many would prefer to alternate with a South Austin location meeting, if so where?

For how many it doesn't matter, I'll just join online.

Thanks,
John

I did not get very many responses from this message.

Is this because of a lack of interest in the book?

Is there another book the group would like to discuss?

I am interested. The distance up north is a bit of an impediment to me. I'd be happy to host in our current location, but we are pretty far south (360 and MoPac S). Maybe if we alternated locations that would work for people.

I'm also interested but (since I work downstairs from steve) the distance is a deterrent - though not a show stopper.

I got feedback that the original Drilling Info location was not central enough for DDD book club, if that helps any.

Alternating the location between a north and south location is okay with me.
