Need some Lead C++ candidates for . Candidates can be non local, see feedback from manager below on interviews. Duration 6-9 months, rate /Hr inclusive all on C2C, location Minneapolis.
Candidates must have all required skills.
She said that all of candidates interviewed failed to answer these technical questions, such as: what is Polymorphism? How would you join the tables to query the database for...., etc? She thinks they should know these basics in order to give instructions to the off-shore team. Manager, herself is not a technical person, but the other two interviewers are. One of the interviewers is quite picky on the technical side. So, I think, if need to submit other applicants, these applicants should review some basic technical questions(by reading technical books) such as:
What is COM? What is the advantage to use COM? What is Polymorphism? What is object-oriented programming / Design? What difference between ATL-COM and MFC-COM? How to join two tables? ..
Hiring a tech lead for the off-shore team, The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in C/C++, VC++, COM, ATL, ADO, SQL Server, and some experience in WEB development.
Lead experience is not necessary. However, ability of communicating effectively is preferred. The ability of problem solving is critical for the position. This person's responsibilities include the following:
1) Interact with the clients at to define the task requirements.
2) Analyze the task requirements, and find the technical solutions.
3) Interact with off-shore team and assign the tasks to the developers of the off-shore team
4) Guide and review the off-shore developers' work (coding, documentation, etc.)
5) Testing.
